MONSTERS!!

We have a samsung portable and it works OK with the shelite fur but if it pick up anything like a small stick (during the winter there is always wood chunks to pick up) it will clog immediately and you have to use a broom handle to unclog the tube and disassemble the collection unit to unclog the collection chamber.. And our mild mannered dogs become quite ferocious when the rug monster comes out- they even nip the person holding it occasionally. And of course the broom monster is to be vanquished/dispatched with prejudice.
I have a Shark Vertex (cordless) with the hair mechanism, and I've got to say it works very well on dog hair, and I've never had a problem with hair wrapped around the rollers. Of course that was with Dickens, who left hair everywhere he went. I can't speak for Mr. Pip who has yet to shed and still has a lot of his fuzzy puppy coat. Speaking of which, he's allowed to chase the monster and bark his fool head off at it, but no getting in the way, and no nipping at it!

I have to try to sneak dusting either when they're out or in another room. I swear mine have Swiffer radar too. Dusting is not a permitted activity, and forget sweeping, vaccuming or any other attempts to remove their fur from the house. It's a great excuse not to clean though........... :ROFLMAO:
Blueberry will go after the paper towel if I try to clean the counters or dust. She hears the spray on the glass and comes running. She can hear me open the cupboard door to get the dishwasher liquid out…if I do manage to do it quietly (if she’s distracted with something) guarantee she’ll come running growling if she hears me close the slot once I’ve filled it.
I have to do it quiet or she’ll bark her head off from the beginning to the end!

Blood was let today. I was using a hand vac to clean up some stuff off the floor-- this of course is noisy and a major giant monster than needs violent and persistent Sheltie attention. In the process of saving the house from this monster I was bit twice on the leg with in seconds by my female monster warrior--blood did flow, I was not happy and we did not speak the rest of the afternoon.

Yikes! She really doesn’t like the hand vacuum!
I can understand why no speaking was had! Hope it’s not too bad and you heal quickly.
Years ago I had a Cocker Spaniel and she was sleeping on the couch beside me. I reached over to pat her (let sleeping dogs lie is true!) and she bit me on my hand! Just about ripped out my pinky nail and I got a bad infection. She was a nasty cur!😜

Dow the pre-Sheltie chomped me once. But he was 14 so his teeth were dull. He was in my lap and I totally did not expect it (no harm) I looked and the poor guy was panicking. I could tell he was confused and not sure where he was. At that point he had pretty bad dementia.

Oh yikes! :eek2: A couple of times Meadow has gotten so wound up jumping around on some fallen logs which are at one of the preserves that she nipped Arden in the leg.

Yeah I was in the way between the vac monster and its retribution-- alls good now and we are speaking to each other-- we did later that day but I know she felt bad.. She did drop a poop in the house this morning which is very unlike her- and she is 4 so??? I think she did try to wake us up to be let out so maybe we deserved it for not getting up at 4am when she wanted out... for someone who spends most of the day sleeping 4 am is just another moment in time!!!
