Montys Gotcha day

Really hard to believe it's been a year. And a very momentous one for Monty. We are all so happy for his transformation in your care. Most people would never be that patient, so you and the girls should pat yourselves on the back. Thank you for sharing all his antics with us. I am glad we in turn could help you a bit while he was so ill. Happy Gotcha Day, Monty! You lucky, lucky dog!!! :love:

It really has been a crazy year and it has gone so quickly! Luckily the only thing left from his previous life now is the milk drinking. I have to admit though, Monty is the 4th dog I've had and has easily been the biggest challenge :lol:. It has been worth all the damage and the constant lifting down from things as he really is just a fun little guy. I missed it all when he was sick so hopefully I'm chasing him around my home for many years to come :winkgrin:.
He still has me feeling guilty as I've convinced Lexi she lost her toy Unicorn...she has no idea Monty ate the legs off :lol:. I'm going to get her a new one this weekend though to make up lol.

It took me a little while to find out but it looks highly likely Monty was from a backyard breeder. It looks like they gave him up as he is not interested in the ladies so didn't really have much use. I just hit lucky as I noticed the picture just go up for adoption and got him straight away before anyone could look at him or he could even be processed. It also meant I got him with all his fleas, mites etc still on him but we got everything quickly fixed at the vets.

His history sounds correct to me as it didn't seem as though he had ever been for walks, seen the outside world and he certainly had not been looked after. He had probably just been kept in a yard with a lot of other dogs/puppies which is probably why he only drinks puppy milk still. Hopefully he has no health problems from it but he looks to be ok now (after his pneumonia).

He got a ton of treats and a he did get a new Mr B......but he wanted the original one back so I had to swap them over again :lol:

It's strange as it feels like I've had Monty for years...I guess he's such hard work it makes it feel that way :lol:
