How is the patient doing?

Making me nuts...jumping on couch, running stairs, trying to chew stitches! If you ask Checkers, she’ll tell you there’s nothing wrong with her. Patient, hah! My word of the day is NOOO! So I’d have to say she’s doing fine. I wish I had her resilience!

She's wearing it! I have a tube for her rather than a cone...it's way more comfortable and easier to navigate with, and serves as a pillow when they lay down. The problem is that the bigger incision is on her shoulder and she can reach it with her hind foot to scratch. I'm just trying to watch her like a hawk.

would an upside down cone cover the shoulder? Gavin was able to reach pretty far with his foot, as well. The cone was the only way to keep the foot out of his mouth...So he had humongous soft(er) cone

Ann, we had this exact same collar for Brooke when she had a hurt paw that she wouldn't leave alone. She loved using it as a pillow. All was well until Miss Faith got a hold of it and popped it!!! I love that she could eat and drink and walk around more easily in it.

Cindy, that is a BRILLIANT idea! I have a soft cone that would be perfect and probably also do the job of covering her hind flank as well. Don't know why I didn't think of it! Thank you!!!
