My little Fancee

Bless you for what you do! You gave her some wonderful years and your heart and soul. Fancee is indeed and will always be a part of your, as you well know - 3 years later, you still remember her and mark her passing.

There is so much grieving and loss on our forum right now, that I remembered a sad but lovely story I'd read posted at the Clan Duncan website. It's lovely, and I cry every time I read it. It may ease your heart some. It is for every person who has ever truly loved a sheltie. It is titled "No Love Lost"

Granite: That was the most beautiful story I have ever read, though I cried through a lot of it. I lost my Fancy girl (sheltie) last April and still haven't recovered. The woman in the story, her way of thinking sounded like me, and her family too (maybe a lot of us here feel that way, I don't know). Thank you so much. Oh Sheltiemom, you do such wonderful things. I know your kids will be with you someday. Prayers for you and Fancee. By the way, my Priest says he believes dogs go to heaven. Hope that helps--I know it makes me feel better.
 
Granite thank you for that story. It was beautiful. I live alone, never married, and no kids. All I have are my two dogs and people think I'm 'crazy' for being the way I am with them - but they are my life, they put a smile on my face each morning! Aren't sheltie's wonderful!!!:smile2::yes::smile2:
 
Shelties ARE wonderful. I can't take any credit for the story; only for pointing the way TO the story. It was written by "DQ" of Clan Duncan Shelties. She is in the process of writing a book of stories about shelties. I plan to buy that book when I see it is available!

Sheltiemom I'm not trying to hijack your thread, only offering wonderful words from another sheltie owner who is far more eloquent than I.
