I'm sorry, I was off line most of yesterday and today and did not see the news about Chance. I am so glad to hear that all went well for your sweet baby. I too think once the antibiotics are completely out of his system, he will return to his normal self. Please keep us posted on his progress, I will keep both Chance and you in my thoughts and prayers, that he has a complete, total and speedy recovery.

Sulivan, seashel, RikyR, cmae, and Denise for offering suggestions to help with Mr Chances digestive issues.

I added pumpkin and DOGZYMES Probiotic to his food this morning. Will try that for a few days and see how he does. If it relieves his issues great... if not, I will try rice too and ask the doctor for a change of antibiotics.

I feel like a doggie pharmacy around here... he is on thyroid meds twice a day, gal bladder pills once a day, antibiotics, Cosequin and senior complete!

After breakfast he is resting comfortably now. Will send along additional updates soon...

We are having such a strange weather year, it is really hot now here, and frosty paws are beating the dog days of summer. The girls aren't happy with the heat but getting frosty paws makes up for it. I absolutely GRINNED at Chance's picture of indulgence. Glad he got spoiled.

Anytime my girls have gone under they have had the runny backend for days. I think it is just hard on their sensitive systems. But like everything, it will run its course (wrong choice of words, sorry) and be done...hang in there.

I had the same thought about the diarrhea--think there's a good chance it's more related to the anesthetic.

The vets office called this morning wanting to know how Mr Chance was doing.

I let them know about the liquid stools and they said to call back today and get a different antibiotic prescribed if it does not resolve itself.
Glad they are at least being proactive!

One interesting side note...
Mr Chance is not barking! I think his lower jaw must be sore due to the staples!

Well - YES - you must be right as his stool is almost normal now...
Pumpkin and DOGZYMES Probiotic to his food this morning really helped!
