Nessie has joined the family!

Good luck with another pupster!

Is her name Nessie because of the Lochness Monster or from the 4th Twilight Book?

No, I named her Innes because it is a feminine derivative of Aonghus and it tickled my fancy! It has been shortened to Ness or Nessie and sometimes I even call her Nessarose after the Wicked Witch of the East in "Wicked." I mean, after all, she does live in EASTERN Oregon!!

Wicked is my favorite Broadway play! Sounds like you put a lot of thought into her name. I like her name a lot. :biggrin2:

Okay, this is a hard choice, and it breaks my heart, but Nessie is going to go live with one of my very oldest and dearest friends. I love my Nessie dearly, but my work schedule has changed (I babysit for my daughter's 2 kids) and I am now gone from home from 10 am to 9:45 pm and I can't give my girl the attention she needs and deserves. I will get to see from time to time and I know she will be well loved. My heartwrenching loss will be my best friend's gain and Nessarose will be a spoiled and loved little girl.

Sorry to hear that. I'm sure she'll be happy in her new home. Sometimes we have to do what's best for them even if it breaks our hearts.

Poor You. One''s heart bleeds when we lose a furpup, not matter how short a time we have had them and no matter how wonderful a forever home they are going to. Be brave and be happy for Nessie.

It has been a very hard choice and I will admit that I cry every time I think about handing her over. I look at her sweet little face and I know that she has no idea that she is leaving and I feel so guilty. I will have her for a couple more weeks before the transfer, and right now it is so hard. I want her to have a good life and that is why she is leaving, but a very selfish part of me wants to keep her no matter what.
