Never Brush A Dry Dog?!

Huh. I find this really odd. They tell people not to brush their hair when it is wet, because wet hair is softer and weaker - and more prone to breakage. I always assumed that it would be the same for a long coated dog. I have always brushed Aztec dry, except on bath day. Interesting...guess it is best to go with the experts.

I almost always brush Sadie when she's dry, and her coat looks beautiful.

I keep trying to remember to spray her down first, but I have a bad memory :uhoh:

you dont brush "wet"
just very slightly damp. spritz the dog with the squirt bottle on mist. you dont soak it or anything.

Yes, the fur should be just lightly misted.

Sometimes I brush in the leave-in Shampoo, but mostly I use either the Ice on Ice or Naked Care. Both work great, and also help work out tangles and matts. I line brush with pup lying on his side, starting at the spine and working my way down. Then hocks and feathers. Flip dog over, do the other side. Stand dog up - tail and bum; then head and ruff.

Then a light misting again and a very gentle once over to smooth things down.

Their coats will feel fantastic if you always brush with a conditioner.

p.s. I checked Facebook, the actual CC site and Cherrybrook for CC products. All working fine.

I usually mist her down with the Ice on Ice conditioner. Her coat is so soft, everyone that pets her makes comments. It actually shimmers in the sunshine. The only places that are a bit coarse are the tail and hocks, but the Ice on Ice works well for those areas, too.

Also, does anybody know what the deal is with Chris Christensen? I don't know if it's just my computer being funky or what. Their facebook page seems to be gone, and almost all of Cherry Brook's Chris Christensen brushes and things are gone. Please just let it be my computer! I wasn't finished with them yet!

Working just fine. The site is actually Cherry Brook, that carries CC products.I also just got my order yesterday for Trapp's grooming stuff. I was quite pleased with everything.

Yeah. Cherrybrook has got more of my money than I'd like to admit. That's where I've gotten all of Smudge's grooming supplies. It's also where I buy his dog food. :biggrin2: The whole reason I was looking was because I wanted to see what kind of grooming tables they had.

Let me know what you decide on grooming tables. I'm thinking of getting one myself. My back is wrecked hunching over the dogs. I would get a high stool as well, to rest my legs during the less complicated bits.

I just don't know where I would put it!

I am converting a nice wood changing table for a grooming table. It's in great shape, lots of storage.I cannot possibly afford a grooming table, even those on Ebay..the shipping is what gets ya.There must be oodles of them listed for .99 cents. But they are charging outrageous amounts to ship them.

The changing table was my girl friends, she gave it to us to take to the flea market two weeks ago.I told Brian it was'nt going,I was going to use it,and I got a strange look from him(huh..is she pregnant kinda look) lol
