New from California

Noneeds4me: I've heard their avid barkers haha Oh wow! Is it okay for them to eat other dog's poop? What color shelties do you have?
Calliesmom: Don't worry, I will :D
Demyer123: Yeah it is. My dog won't have any changes overheat thankfully. Where do you live in Cali?

Well?? It's not something you WANT them to do LOL With some of them, it's just so hard to get them to stop. We've tried all the "remedies," and the best answer is to follow the others around with the dust pan ;-) and get it picked up before "opportunity" is presented. We have one bi-black boy named Baron, and two sable/whites (one boy and one girl) named Rookie and Spring. They all came from the same breeder, so it's one big happy family ;-). I think the "trick" with the barking is to use it for "good" and not "evil" LOL By the way, I'm in Orange County...beach cities.

Welcome to the forum. You have quite the wait. I am assuming they are doing a bi color breeding that they are expecting bi blacks. I hope they is a nice bi black male for you.

I am a veterinarian and have 5 shelties-Justice is a 9yr sable, Ember is a 6 yr Bi blue, Diva is a 3 yr Tri, Jamie 1.5 yr Bi black and Birch 13 wks Blue merle. Diva and Jamie are co owned by Birch's breeder. Jamie lives with his co owner and Diva lives here 80% of the time.

I am looking forward to talking to you about shelties and seeing pictures of Pilot when he gets here.:smile2:

Welcome from the bay area in CA!

I hope Pilot loves the colder beaches up there :D

Cindy and Gavin

You'll have to tell us when the breeding takes place, etc... up til the birth and homecoming so we can all join in the anticipation along with you:yes:!

Thanks guys! I sure will keep you updated :D And Cindy, I live in the Bay Area too. I just live in Humboldt during the school year. Woot the bay lol So far the update is that I emailed the breeder and she hasn't gotten back to me yet. Spider(which is the mom) is going to be bred in the next couple of days. I'll show you guys what the parents look like, if you want.

Justicemom: Thanks very much! I know I do have a long way off, but I'll be focussing on school during that time. It's passed by quickly so far. The parents aren't bi black, but the breeder has told me that she's always had a few bi black pups from this pairing. If it doesn't work out that way, then I'm fine with whichever coloring. I've seen the pictures of your dogs. They're all so cute and have beautiful coats!

Cindy: Oh wow you're in the Bay Area? I am too! When I'm not at Humboldt. And I hope so too.

Noneeds4me: Don't worry I definitely will keep you guys updated, if you want me to. I can post pictures of the parents. I have a few off the internet then I can also load some from my camera when I visited over thanksgiving break. The parents are both really sweet!

I'd LOVE that! Please feel free to e-mail them personally to me ;-).. Thanks in advance ;-)..

Welcome to the forum!

You are welcome to post pictures of your pup's parents as long as it is not a direct link to a breeder's website :smile2:

Sorry for the double post by the way. I'm still getting used to the site. I've attached a few pics of both parents without including the website.

That's a picture of Spider, the mom. She's participates in both shows and agility. When I visited the breeder, Spider jumped right up next to me on the couch :)

And then there's Athens who is the dad. He's an International and National show dog. But, to me, that doesn't matter. He's also a sweet boy. A bit more reserved than Spider though it seemed. I'll try to get those pictures off my camera too soon.
