I can't wait to hear more of another spitfire girl joining the ranks of forum dogs like Bailey, Ellie, Lexi, Diva and Tully... Can't wait to hear your stories :biggrin2:

Yep those girls sure are a lot of energy, and very smart. They need lots of stimulation both mental and physical but there is a lot you can do and the pay off is great. Tully drove me insane to start with. After always having laid back boys I thought I had purchased a juvenile delinquent. Nowadays she is the sweetest dog you will meet and adored by everyone, she is still high energy but now I've learnt how to handle it I really enjoy it.

Consider taking her through obedience classes to keep her occupied and also to establish a common language between the two of you.

Rather than feed her from a bowl teach her to work for her food. You can hide the food or use treat dispensers - or make your own. For mine I cut kibble sized holes in a plastic water bottle that they could push around the floor to get their food.

I would also recommend teaching her fetch, did wonders for Tully's energy.
 
She is adorable! You do need to come up with ways to tire her out. If she's good and tired, I'll bet some of your crate issues will lessen. Shelties need mental tiring as well as physical.
 
Someone here isn't getting VERY tired, unfortunately, it isn't the doggie!!! LOL

I'll get through it, I'm sure.
