New Puppy Coming Later In 2014 or 2015

Are you thinking another Lab, Sheltie, or something else?
Working cocker spaniel. Mum is a fantastic worker, and dad will be a Champion in field trials. Pups from this breeder have already gone on to do well at agility, plus I plan to get back into my gundog stuff and take some classes. Nothing serious, but I would like a gundog certificate if I can achieve it.

But, here is the scary bit, there may be a sheltie on the cards too. But it involves a lot of 'if's at the moment, so I am not prepared to say that is set in stone.

If that does happen that wrecks my plan of 3 year gaps between the dogs!:rolleyes2:

I'm waiting for my new puppy too. The puppies have been born, but I don't know if they are all show or there will be a female pet puppy for us. I'm just waiting, and it seems like it's taking forever. The original litter that I had a deposit on only ended up with one pup and I don't know if she is going to be show or pet. It's so hard to wait.

There will be 7 years between my current only dog Milo and the new baby. Our Pomeranian was 7 or 8 when Milo came to live with us.

yeah- I had that plan too
two dogs in same year twice (Jan/Oct)- it's kinda weird in the symmetry

Glad I'm not the only one!

Judy, good luck with your puppy - how did you managed to wait 7 years, I get puppy broody after 2:wink2:

We have had two for the last 16 years or so. We have had two American Eskimo's and we had the Pomeranian who passed away last March.

I really didn't think we would get another dog, but a friend of mine kept posting pictures of her biblue Sheltie puppy on FB and I was sunk. It didn't take me to long to talk my husband into a Sheltie, but I didn't rush him. I kept showing him pictures of them first and just sort of let him fall for the idea of another dog. Now we are just waiting to hear if we will get this little merle girl or a sable from another litter. Waiting is so hard now though. I do have to wait until next month though as I will be at a convention the first few days of the month and DH does not want to be the only one caring for a new puppy.

Is it a bit obsessive that I've been thinking of a Registered and Call name for a puppy I may not even have for a year+?

Nope. My next little boy is already named -- registered AND call -- AND I wear a heart pendant that is my little puppy's heart waiting for me from whence they come when their time is right.
