New puppy in need of a name!

Oh he is such a little squirt! So stinkin' cute. I like all the names you've thrown out there. Try saying each name all kinds of ways, softly, louder, and "I'm calling you from two fields away" and see how you feel about them then.

How is he settling in?

Here's a strange technique that worked for the lady up the street. She adopted a rescue airedale and had no idea what the dog's name was or should be so she just started at the A's and began naming every A girl name she could think of. When she said Agnes, the dog got up and came over to her. So Agnes Rose was christened.
Maybe you could take the list of names you already like and see if he likes one better than the others? Never know--can't hurt to try LOL

My family is all on about Riley being a girl's name.
That is seriously only a thing for the last 25 years or so...kinda like calling a girl Ryan I guess.

Now I am all about gender neutral stuff, but for over 100 years Riley has been a boy's name and it is all erased by a 30 year fad of naming girls with a traditionally boys name?
Mind you, they aren't saying its a gender neutral name but that its a girl's name.

sigh... cant please everyone

... so you got to please yourself! As the song goes. If Riley seems like your top choice, go with it. Most folks are going to know it's a boys name.
I did think of another R name - Roscoe.

Okay I'll admit it always wanted a brother :)

Love when I can start my day with a giggle!

I am all into human names, to me my pets are my babies. Then I am driving home with Gizmo when he was a kitten, I pulled off the road, stopped, took a pic and sent it to my crew. Our daughter immediately responded that he looked like Gizmo from the movie Gremlins and it stuck. At first I didn't think it fit at all, but he is for sure Gizmo to me now.
