New puppy in need of a name!

How about keaton as a name? (as in buster)

I have to remind myself it wasn't instant love with Gavin either.
it took months (OK..years) to develop our bond.
This guy is adorable, seems to be settling in well.
But he LOVES his food.
he eats so fast...we are already using a treat ball to slow him down.

That would be a good and uncommon name. Faith is the same with her food, she absolutely inhales it, so we had to get her one of those divided bowls, which works really well. If he's really food motivated it will help with training. My Sheltie friend helped us discover that Elijah will do anything for cheese. So funny, string cheese is so boring, but he goes nuts for it.

Have you tried each name out on him just to see if he responds to any sound in particular? Maybe just random times tomorrow call him using one name at a time and see if there's any particular reaction. We went through a TON of names trying to rename Elijah (just because it seemed like a mouthful) but nothing stuck so we gave up. You gotta wonder sometimes though - there was a terrific little English Cocker at our club's agility trial last weekend who was so cute... name? Flea! :confused2:

You will figure it out, He is not going to worry about it as long as his food bowl is not empty. :)
But if he is like Teddy and gobbles his dinner.I have to use a slow feeder bowl. Keeps him from eating to fast and getting an upset tummy.
