new sheltie owners in Nova Scotia

Welcome to the family! Blaze is a handsome young fella indeed. Love those tipped ears. Read up my friend. Shelties are a breed all to their own. I suggest lots of fun activities and obedience (positive reinforcement only) early on. Good luck with your new addition. They grow up so fast.

We are in Amherst. Coming up with the name was no small task... we had to get to kids to agree to the same name, not change their minds, plus have it not be something completely ridiculous (like Wii, or Zhu-Zhu). Because we waited for several months for our puppy, this was a bit of a torturous process.

How old are the kids, did you say?
Blaze is going to be well loved, I can tell, lol and he will be able to herd a ton of kids, no doubts ;)
Toffee just finished herding kids in the snow over the holidays, lol (my best friend's kids in Berwick...) He just LOVES it

I am new to Sheltie Nation ... just joined from Ottawa.
We lost Dexter one month ago...He was 14yrs. 2 months old. raised him from 8 wks old. We miss him terribly ... Monday we will be picking up our new addition to the family a 3 1/2 yr. old Tri-Girl. She is lovely!! ...
