new sheltie owners in Nova Scotia

We obviously have a whole bunch of learning to do, and this site has already been a great resource. Our kids, 9 and 6, are "over the moon" with our puppy. I have to admit that this particular breed was my wife's idea; I was thinking something a little more unusual, like a basenji perhaps. As is often the case, must admit that my wife was right again... I can already see that this little fur ball is a perfect fit for our family.

Welcome - the pics of Blaze are lovely ... he sure is a cutie! You've made the right choice with a Sheltie ... they are good natured and very intelligent!

Toffee just finished herding kids in the snow over the holidays, lol (my best friend's kids in Berwick...) He just LOVES it

Kids are 6 and 9, and yes, they have already been well-herded. The jury's still out for Blaze on the whole snow thing. He loved playing in it, but not so crazy about doing his business in the cold. I can already see that I will probably have to snowblow a small portion of the yard for him to use. Or maybe we won't get much snow this year and I won't need to ;)
 
If he is anything like mine, you won't need to snowblow too much, depending on how many feet of snow you get. My yard is always tramped down real good from Liam running around like a maniac.

Yep, you'll use the snow-blower :D
Toffee loves the snow but for doing his business he likes when I shovel him a cozy little area, lollll

I think most of us crazies in here do that hehehehehe

Do you you know Blaze's lines by any chance? There are a number of us related to the Shelhaven line from the Martitimes and we could be related.

And a very late reply on my part... We've had a whirlwind of a couple of months, as we have moved to Alberta. All happened very quickly, as we decided for sure in late January we were moving, the moving truck was at our house Feb 17th, and we arrived in Alberta Feb 26th.

Blaze's parents are Macey and Ben.
