Honest to God I thought I had heard about all the excuses available for giving up your dogs (from the shelter where I volunteer and foster) but that takes the cake. I agree with the "Uranus" comment. HA!!

Thank goodness you are (hopefully) getting this precious pup away from that situation. It's hard enough to socialize some Shelties without them being isolated in an apartment, even if he did have friends over.

Please let us know what happens!!

That is a bad reason to give up a dog. Glad the way i got mine was much more understanding. My friend in class, her dad got this puppy as a gift, well she got excited one day and scratched him up and he is on coumidin*sp* the blood thinner. So they needed to find a home for her and I took her in.
