No respect in the dog ring [Youtube Video]

Hmm I checked it out today too and it does seem the user deleted that video. I had checked out her channel though just yesterday and I think it may be because she didn`t expect the video to gather so many views. Since she shows there in France, it may just have been to `not cause trouble`for the judge and that man. I`m not too sure why either but mmm it seems she made the decision to take down the video. I tried looking around, but since it was her own uploaded video, it doesnt seem there are any other links of it either. Sorry

Darn! I missed it. I always kind of enjoy watching people make retards out of themselves. But it sounds like the dog wasn't enjoying this at all. If I was ever to show my dogs, I would want it to be a happy experience....yes it's a competition. But you're not competing for who can bake the best apple pie...you're dealing with a living animal that has feelings and emotions.

I would appreciate it if the word "retard" not be used on this forum. I have a son with a mental disability and this word offends me. Thankyou.

Unfortunatly I was too late to see the link but I have seen it mentioned elsewhere too.:( Was it a sheltie or another breed?

Awww.....man.

I missed it

It was pretty awful... basically, tall middle-aged male handler manhandles his dog (he did the "scoop it up under the tail and drop it" to set the rear, and didn't even set it correctly, and sort of flailed his foot at the dog to set the front, again poorly) and then, during multiple go-arounds, runs his dog over and eventually past the dog in front. The dog in front is handled in a very understated, sensible way by a younger female handler. The judge does very little to address the situation.

Be assured that if he was a professional, he doesn't appear to be much worth the handling fee... even though he did get the win in this class.

Ewww.....I am sure that the judge did not like that video getting shared around the internet. That is NOT something to be rewarded with a win.

Thanks for the re-cap :biggrin2:
