That video is awesome!! If you can hold a cats attention that long, and teach it to be on something totally not familar, and be comfortable.Cudos to this trainer! I plan on bookmarking that site.Thank you for sharing the link~

Back from class. Kinda boring without having a dog but it was fun to watch the more advanced classes. I kept eyeing the open training thinking I wanna be in there! There's a lovely blue merle sheltie in the novice class. I kept thinking how cute he and Clancy would look together :smile2: I must bath him before next class!

Clancy can do pretty much all the beginner's exercises - in our backyard. It will be very interesting to see how much he 'remembers' when he gets into a hall with 30 other dogs

The first class you might find that all the training has gone out the window with all the excitement of the dogs and people around. I was so embarrassed by Bacca at first. I kept feeling like I had to explain myself...."Really, he DOES know how to sit!". Then I got over myself and let myself enjoy it. I really only joined the class in the first place for socialization! :smile2:

I'm taking Pierre to Puppy Play tomorrow to check it out. Sunday, I think I'm going to sit-in on one of their classes with Jacque just to see how she is with a class.

I'm really excited because this place has everything - basic obedience, puppy classes, shaping, recall intensive, agility (intro, handling, jumps-tunnels-and-chutes), rally-o (which I'm quite interested in!), and even dock jumping! I have lots of hopes for my boys and it would be great to have somewhere to really put in the time and with such great resources.

Barb, it is so important to do that socialization! I am so antsy to get Duncan all involved, but I need to wait two more weeks before he gets his Bordatella shots. I've settled for neighbors and family thus far. I may take him to the mall (it is an open-area mall with dogs allowed, just not in many stores) to walk around and get petted a million times.
