Now that is just awesome!
Well now I find your name is also Michele (ll),and my dear friend Elaine, who is also a member here..her middle name is the same as mine.Which really is quite a thing.Elaine is the only person I know that has the name,as it really is not common. It is Vivian. My mothers name. I told her she was going to be Trapp's god mother! If it was'nt for Elaine,I would have never found Janite. And we met on FaceBook of all things. We both had farms on (FarmTown) application on FaceBook..I was either working on Elaine's farm,or vice versa, when the subject of our fur babes came up.Well that has opened up a chapter in my life,to finally find a breeder for a sheltie. The rest is history. We're here..learning,absorbing,getting ready for Trapp to come home.
Oh heavens,if I could be lucky enough to live closer,I would have visited before now,to hold Trapp.
We did send a blanket to Janet to put in the whelping box,and a few toys.I actually did'nt think about having something sent here,to have the scent of the pups, and Sasha. But Janet told me she always sends some thing home with the babes, that has familiar scents,so they will settle with out much stress.
I really am not worried about Earnhardt..and adjustment for him.I have never in 5 years, have seen him not be accepting of any fur babe we have had.Which have all been fosters, and rehomed eventually. He takes it all in stride, and is truely a gentle soul. I remember his first time meeting my son's tea cup chi..Lucy was nothing but a small handful of fur when they first brought her here. And she wanted up on the couch in a bad way to be near Eric.So Earnhardt decided to give her a boost...up she went,as she rested her little bottom end on his nose, and he gently laid her on the sofa.My poor daughter in law, bout wanted to die of fright,I assured her, there never would be a worry when it came to Earnhardt. As he would never hurt her,now they have another Chi,her name is Lexie. And she is a spit fire.I think she thinks she also weighs 100lbs.The way she torments him.He just looks at her..gives her a lick or two..and walks on.
Bumper will adjust well. She has been exposed to dogs. And lately since the crate has been set in its permanent place in the dining room, last night she crawled in sniffing around.
Are we ever going to have fun in the months ahead..looking at pictures, and seeing the changes that will happen with our pups! I cannot wait~
