Wow, glad everything turned out alright!
I've given my boys hydrogen peroxide if they've gotten into something and I want them to bring it up. Takes about 20 minutes but they will throw up.

Great news! 
Thanks for letting us know. How interesting about the slow cooker...it makes sense and I never knew that. I use my slow cooker for all kinds of roasting.
Isn't it funny how we'll all call the vet at the drop of a hat for our pups but ignore our own issues indefinitely in the hope they'll go away....I am so guilty of that!
