If Rusty could he would thank you for letting him go. Pancreatitis is horribly painful - just ask my husband. Sometimes, no matter what advancements are made in veterinary care, we can't save a life. What we can do is be there to guide our beloved pets into their next life so that they are peaceful and pain free. I'm so sorry that you are dealing with the loss of your pal.

Could Rusty be allergic to grass or other surface outside? Have you tried socks, puppy boots, etc when he is outside? My cousin's dog is allergic to grass, so he goes out minimally, and often wears booties...
Have you changed anything you use inside, such as laundry detergent, household cleaners, air fresheners, etc? Any of those items, that seem simple, could trigger an allergic reaction.
