Pedigree Lines question

For the OP, just a thought that it could be rounding error accounting for the difference in COI. If the sire is bred to the dam and that results in one COI, and then if the dam is bred to the sire and that results in a different COI, could be rounding in that last breeding causing the COI difference.
 
I see what you mean about the inbreeding on Tate. I love following pedigrees but have never seen one that inbred. To do proper breeding requires a lot of thought and effort. Thank you to the conscientious breeders who look at everything in the equation and make the best decisions, to give good dogs and to keep the lines pure. People who ask if you are going to breed just because you have a male and female really don't understand the breeding process and the consequences.

I created a database myself the other day just by going to the pedigree site, copying and pasting the generations into excel and then importing them into microsoft access for each line I was searching on. I spent 7 hours straight doing that! :eek2:

so Jocu's litter had two sires so the biblack puppies had to be tested to determine the daddy. The tri puppies belonged to the tri sire and the biblue puppy belonged to the biblue daddy- everyone else- who knew.
so yesterday, got an email that Jocu's daddy is the tri.

so knowing that he is pretty heavily linebred, I was playing around on the site- doing trial breedings between his parents. so what has confused me is that Inbreeding: 26.96% if I start with the dam and mate to the sire.
then it's Inbreeding: 29.45% if I start with the sire and mate to the dam.:eek2:
I also tried with some other dogs and the numbers change depending on which I start with. I would think it would be the same for any pair of dogs no matter where you start.

so pedigree people- what's going on here?:confused2:

so I sent Jocu's info in and he is now on PL

but now we can see that the brown dogs have Ryan O'Neil too (6 generations back) while it's 8 for Jocu....
so all my dogs are related:eek2:

So now that you're an expert you need to put the Sca-dog on :biggrin2: Can you update the titles once up? We really need to be Onyx in flyball if not.
