Welcome and thanks for posting the photos. Your Penny is a lovely girl with a beautiful face and expression. And Trevor - cute as can be.
What a gorgeous girl Shelby was. I'm so sorry that you lost her at such a young age. It's difficult no matter how old they are or how long they've been in your life, but it's unfair when they are young. My bi-black named Ebony died from kidney failure when she was still a young girl. A part of them always stays with you.

Welcome from (not so snowy) Michigan! I'm up in the Thumb myself.

I have two blue girls and a tri-boy.

Yep, 5/6 weeks is way too young to be sold. A reputable breeder would never sell a puppy that early. (If they do sell a puppy, they don't go to the new home until they're at least 8 weeks old.)

Good luck with him (and his "mom"!)

The woman we bought him from is an elderly breeder and I'm not sure she even knows about the 8 week rule. For years I was always told puppies of all breeds were ready at 6 weeks. All our Pom's were 6 weeks and so was Penny, Shelby might have been 9 weeks I can recall.

My grandmother got into Shelties over 20 years ago, and she never sold a puppy under 8 weeks. Age has nothing to do with it. :wink2:

That's why we always say 8 weeks at the earliest.

I must say Shelby was a absolute doll! Im so sorry for your loss. Trevor looks like such a gentleman..I love his coloring! Penny is such a pretty little lady. She looks alot like my sweetie! Thanks for sharing your pictures, I really enjoy them....it takes care of my Sheltie addiction...lol

Hellooo and welcome from another Michigander!! We are displaced now..LOL but we lived in Rockford before moving to Germany and will move back to the G.R. area after our adventure in China...

Your puppers are so cute!! Sorry to hear of your loss of Shelby..way to young!!

Trevor is just too darn cute!! You might have to act as litter mates and Momma to teach some things that he would have learned in the last 2 weeks...but I'm sure you are aware of that!! Congrats on your new addition!!

Welcome to Sheltie Nation
So sorry about your Shelby- we lost an 8 year tri last year to lymphoma- I still get teary eyed when I talk about her.
We have a 13 year old tri Maggie and just brought home an 8 week tri this weekend and he is Zak. Your Penny is just adorable and she will get used to Trevor. I took Maggie 2 weeks to get used to Katie and now with Zak she is doing very well.
Trevor is just so cute...but as you can tell I am partial to Tri's.
