Peta is at it again

Yes, I googled the news about this too..but all that came up were links to twitter and blog chats where the gossip had been mentioned but no true news or police report of this.

I don't support PETA or any of the fanatical groups that push a hard agenda down everyone's throats.
 
There's an article I have in a Sheltie Talk or Sheltie International (can't remember which) about this happening back in the 90's...
 
This was done at a show around here a few years ago. I was told that at this particular show I should ALWAYS bring a soft crate, and put locks on the zippers so someone couldn't get into them, and it wasn't as easy as just pouring in over the top like in a wire crate.
 
They are for the welfare of animals eh?

I just read where the ol' Price Is Right fellow, Bob Barker gave PETA $2.5 million.
 
I am not sure what happened or if any police report was made, it wasnt a show I was at. I just wanted to pass it on, if it is true I thought the people here would want to know so they could take extra precaution with there dogs.

They don't actually care if the animals die. They want to end the use of all animals, that includes pets. They think animals should live free, away from human bondage and slavery.

Thank you, Jessica! True or rumor, it is a sad but good reminder to all of us that we need to always be careful and take extra care wherever we are.
 
I really find PETA to be a bunch of insane crazies but am a bit skeptical myself. Do you by chance know the person that posted it? The part I find hard to believe is once discovered I would have thought you would have a few hundred people wanting a lynching for someone threatening their dog. I know at the bike races there is little issue with theft and if someone is dumb enough to try they WANT to get caught by the police as that punishment would be safer. Personally if I was at a show and caught someone with antifreeze they might literally get tarred and feathered :mad:
