Pin Brush

At the seminar someone brought the cheap, pet store thinning shears and the groomer demonstrated the difference on a dog. You could actually see where the cut was made, vs the good ones, that left no visible mark. It was neet to see. I would have never believed it. I will take a look at that website you posted. The groomers here suggested this site: www.pupular.com.

Well, I did it today. I ordered some CC stuff for Ariel. Better to do it and do it once.

I've been working with her everyday, primarily on being able to trim the hair on her feet. Last night I sat as usual, with my legs out in front of me with Ariel on her back. She let me trim the fur between her pads with no problem. She's got neat little feet today. The breeder sent her all nice and clean and trimmed, but even after 111 days there was a little touch up to be done.

I truly hate the set up and clean up in grooming my pups so I sometimes have to talk myself into it, but once I get going, I find it quite addictive and calming. And always a laugh or two, as the boys invariably want their bellies brushed when I'm trying to do their backs!

I swear they have the best groomed bellies anywhere!

Brush Snob Here

Finally getting around to weighing in on this one. I have a pin brush that I bought through a catalog that I've been using for years. Two weeks ago I was at a dog show and decided to invest in a good brush at Cherrybrook...it's not a Christensen but an All Systems made in Germany and is similarly priced so comparable quality. I liked the way it felt in my hand better than the CC and the way it was shaped. I got the 20mm pins and OMG I cannot believe the difference brushing my dogs!! I think I have become a Brush Snob. :eek2: When I go back to another dog show I am buying another one in a different size! I think I am spoiled from ever using cheap brushes again. My poor charge card.... :uhoh:

I couldn't afford to shop that site- got my set of shears for the price of 1 on there. :uhoh:
