I just wanted to add, Piper really shows his exuberance for obedience in his fronts (he runs into me) and his finish, you really see this in the third video (signals)...he does a jump in the air and spins around with such flourish! He should get extra points for that!

I did notice his fronts- Cran does jump on me sometimes when there's room for him to get going.......
his finishes are really nice- even when he's not jumping and spinning into place.

I hope to get our optional titles sewn up this weekend and go on the utility quest with Flyer.

Thanks 2Good...I told the judge after this run that I was DONE with him...said I wasn't doing this anymore, he asked me how old Piper was and when I said he was 4 the judge said "he's so young"!
That and speaking to others AND watching this video made me realize he's JUST coming into his own with it. Honestly, more errors were made by me than Piper (my transition from normal to slow is too quick, I got a big forge from him but wasn't his fault.
He's far from done, once he's got his OTCH I'll probably keep going (I do find I'm not as nervous in the ring, so thanks for all the practice Piper).

We are really hard on ourselves sometimes! Yes, he's a young dog and you have done a great job. We can't win every time. I had to laugh when I saw a post on facebook that went like this:

Format like a text message:

"did you win?" (1st person)

"no" "Dog shows are stupid." (2nd person)

"you going tomorrow?" (1st person)

"yes" (2nd person)

So funny, and so true!!!!

I saw that too...made me laugh, although I'd never say dog shows are stupid, I love them!
