Not the news you may have hoped for, but good that it can be addressed and that the vet is addressing so quickly. Prayers going up both for Piper and for you!!! Many

Yes we do have hope now Sandy. Of course a epulis would’ve been better but the outcome would’ve been the same. I’m going to get Piper on more of a “cancer” diet, give him whatever is necessary to improve his odds and have a good quality of life. Not the news you may have hoped for, but good that it can be addressed and that the vet is addressing so quickly. Gavin was a marvel! I have lots of hope especially because of Gavin…Piper will do great! I just telling myself that. It’s the surgery itself that scares me and just all the unknowns.Just wanted to give you some hope!
Gavin had a mast cell tumor removed from his hip when he was 10 (no treatment, his radiation was on his foot for sarcoma).
He lived until 17 (while I am sure it did spread eventually and was what killed him, 7 years is a long time).
and mast cells are highly metastatic (lymph nodes, spleen, liver....his probably went to the spleen or liver)
there are so many unknowns.....So don't pass on that trip to the beach, or hike, or road trip
Isn’t that the truth!Very best wishes for Piper-- I think it hurts more when they get sick than when we do...
