Pixie ~ 7/5/05 to 8/18/16

Ann, my love and sympathy are with you as you grieve the passing of your precious lass. She fought a brave battle these last few months. Rest in peace little Pixie, your Mom will always hold you close in her heart.

Dear St. Francis,
Yesterday a most precious Sheltie come to your gates. Pixie had been ill for a long time. He mamma took such good care of her, making sure her days were filled with love and joy. Now she's in your tender care. Show her, please, the joys of Rainbow Bridge, where she waits for Ann. Give comfort to her family who mourn for her sunny presence. And please, whisper to Pixie that to her, it will seem but the twinkling of an eye until she is reunited with her mamma once more.
In His name we ask,
Amen

Dear Ann,
It was much sorrow that I read your post. I know over the long years Pixie had many health challenges, but you made life as much of a joy for her as you could. If you are anything like me, not only do you miss her incredibly, but you feel a little lost after having devoted so much time to her needs. I felt that way after Ally passed. All those routines... intense one-on-one time, just vanished. It's so hard. And she was such a beautiful little girl.

I hope your good memories soon overtake the grieving. Hug all your dogs tight. :hugs

Sharon, you are so right. In the last months, I had a routine for Pixie's care and schedule for her medication that dictated my day. I miss her terribly, and the things that were just Pixie. I made sure she had the opportunity for her solo walk with me to the mailbox every day. Being "only dog" with me for this jaunt was her greatest joy. Now I am lost, even with my five others. I know I'll adjust, but I didn't expect it to be this hard. Thanks for your note of understanding, and to Chris for your wonderful prayer to St. Francis, and all of you for your comfort and support.

Ah, RIP sweet Pixie. You survived a lot so you deserve lots of sun and time to play. My heart goes out to you Ann.
