In one of the other threads several people mentioned the fact that their Shelties are, at times, poop eaters.
Meggie is obsessed with frozen poop. I mean, seriously obsessed. It makes me what to vomit! My sweet little girly girl eating poop.
My question is this: Is she going to make herself sick, get worms or something from eating poop? Is it dangerous in any way.
I swear I want to take something out in the yard to throw at her when she does it. I'm forever running after her in my slippers, getting my socks wet from the snow! Of course, she thinks that's a game and starts dodging Mommy at every turn!!
I'd appreciate any input in how to break this disgusting habit. Please people, help me out here!

But we have been blessed with a recent poop eater also,as Trapp was bringing "presents" to the back door. Now I'm not absolutely certain how much he has consumed,but the thought of carrying it in his mouth,it more than I can deal with..
We have used Adolphs meat tenderizer for the last week or so,and we have had no presents on the step for a week now.Theres stuff you can get from any online source,I noticed Foster & Smith,carries a deterring powder or pill for the poop eating pooches.
I've read that pineapple juice,or pineapple tidbits in the food also works. The idea is to get the poop to have a very distinct disgusting smell or taste to deter from eating it. Which is what happens when you add some or something to the daily diet,just the smell of it,is supposed to deter them from eating it.
I think they will do it to thier own poop,not sure about eating another dogs poop.But whos' to say.
We have been very diligent as much as we can to pick up poo piles,but it is difficult with so much land,as they seem to pick the farthest corner of the lot to do thier thing. Plus not to mention,we have no snow,our back lots is pretty much covered in leaves,magnolia leaves,it's just very hard to even see the poo.
