Product for ear tipping

My Sheltie Talk book is packed away so I can't check it. It just seems to me that if the pup even goes out in the rain would that be an issue?
 
I used that on my first dog, too. Her ears tipped fine, but I think it was too heavy and she got hound ears. Use something to make sure the dogs ears are glued together at the top. I never had any trouble with water in it. I think it would only be a problem if the ears were completely soaked. I think it's a pretty easy and simple way to tip their ears.
