Grand canyon, grand dog. I would have worried if those were my pups and I let go the leash for the picture --- if a ground squirrel ran over the edge I know one nut case who would have tried to follow..

Pico has a harness on, and his leash is clipped around my waist.
At 20lbs, he wouldn't even pull me down if he slipped LOL
and he is ground squirrel agnostic at the moment (and grand canyon squirrels are FAT!)
 
Does Pico like to swim? Most long furred dogs don't but I know a collie that thinks he is water dog... My crew doesn't mind the rain but can't imagine they would be happy in a kayak... I have a sea kayak and often tho't about having one of my pups in the cockpit with me-- a bit cramped and not for a long time but then NO not a good idea.
 
Sadly, shutterfly no longer hosts a shared webpages for our pictures.
It really sucks as I had so much there from trips and gavin pictures.
they are all still in shutterfly but not as well organized.
So I can only link to my shutterfly album of all of the road trip photos!
you probably need a shutterfly account to see though :(
I can do a share link for each individual subfolder (all 20) but not the top one.
at some point I will do a book and share the link.

I was also very sad when Shutterfly discontinued the Share sites.
I was unable to see your pix- it's only showing my albums when I click on your link:gaah
