Well this morning, he basicly skipped two meals in a row and was moping around. Though he woke me up early two days in a row. I thought he had to go outside, but I started thinking this was more from hunger.
So I decided to buy a bag of his old food (I had transitioned the boys from Pro Plan to Orijen). It finally dawned on me that the day he went off his food, was the day we were 100% on Orijen. Well guess what! He ate it up the Pro Plan right away!
He hasn't eaten his dinner, but that doesn't surprise me because he only ate breakfast at 1 p.m.
Tomorrow morning will be the true test, I think. And then I have to figure out what to do next! I don't want to stay on Pro Plan, but it seems that Orijen just does not work for him.
Stay tuned! Crossing fingers and toes!
Barb, have you tried mixing a small amount of canned food in with their food at every meal and a little bit of hot water? I do that for the girls and they love it. I think that the canned food is helping their coats a little bit too. I only give them a spoonful but it's the smell that lures them in - actually makes them a little crazy! Maybe try that if he still refuses to eat the Orijen. Just a thought.
