That's great! So glad you have a trainer that knows you and your dogs who can offer ideas and suggestions.

Bentley is the same way--the farther my husband gets ahead of him, he seems to kind of give up, like "well I can't get there so I'll just go at this steady pace". But if my husband stays with him and accelerates WITH him, Bentley is a lot speedier.

Yes, exactly! By the end of our first run, Pyper was going so fast, I had a hard time catching my breath!!

So glad to hear of Pyper's improvement! I've read before that slow dogs work better if you don't get ahead, because I've wondered about that with Merlin.
