question about type of food

im currently feeding my dogs merrick before grain salmon they are doing wonderful on it but merrick recently changed thier formulas and discontinued the salmon and now is making duck but my dogs will get diah.

im thinking of switching to fromms no grain salmon and wanted to know if anyone here has tries it and thier sucess with it. im currently feeding my lab pup the fromms puppy so far have been happy with it but dif breeds respond differently.
 
Hi, I feed Fromms duck/whitefish . I steer away from chicken because of all the controversy over the additives.

I had been feeding homemade but switched to Fromms. It is lower fat and lower protein which I like but our little girl gained a bit of weight from Tunalini so I switched to duck because of the still lower fat and protein. If she contiues to gain weight, I guess I will have to switch back to homemade.

Fromms is made here in the USA, no outsourcing. They have never had a recall. You can email them with any questions.

I feed Fromm's grain free. I rotate between the 4 flavors. My dogs have done great on it. That is all Birch has eaten since i brought him home. He has a great coat, strong and beautiful teeth. I really like how my older dogs have done on it as well..

I finally have Ember at a great weight and lots of muscle. Always been hard for her as she tended towards being overweight.
 
Thanks! I was a little worried only because the merrick is higher protien and higher fat so I'm guess I would have to feed more of the fromms then what i'm feeding now, is that correct?

I also thought of putting them on Natures Variety grain free salmon. Right now they are eating the Rabbit with no problem so maybe I can switch them.

I do like that Fromms is made at thier own plant tho and they haven't had a recall.

Play it by ear with the amount to fed. When I rotate onto the Surf and Turf I need to feed less then the Salmon Tunalini. My dogs loss weight the last month I feed the Salmon as I forgot to adjust for the lower protein and fat.(28% and 16 vs 30% and 19%) For Justice, it made a huge difference, for Ember not so much.
