Rambunctious... at the oddest of times.

Oh goody! A "weird stuff they bark at" post! LOL

This is a small portion of Benson's triggers:

Opening/closing living room or bedroom window
Opening/closing bedroom drapes
Cracking eggs in skillet for breakfast
Throwing eggshells into garbage disposal
Garbage disposal, natch
Husband changing clothes or shoes or putting on hat
He used to bark at the shower door clicking shut but that seems to be over, thank God.

Of course all the usual suspects like doorbells and stuff outside, particularly the large trash bins. But I don't think of that as weird.
Koko and Fillion bark at nothing except the vacuum and trash bins. Not even door bell!

Sounds like Deska's list, but add in every electrical appliance! Ah I miss it!

Oh yes, Kip does this too:)
If someone sneezes or coughs, he is there in a flash. He has to be involved whenever there's sneezing/coughing:) Or maybe he is the cough police, just checking to make sure I don't have covid19.
Other things that Kip goes nuts about:
Sweeping or scrubbing the floor
Mowing
Hair brushing
Electric toothbrushes

For the most part, it isn't a problem. He isn't upset - he's excited and wants to join in the fun.

It is still pretty weird for me to read these habits your dogs have :confused2:

I can not name a single thing Minnie barking at
(beyond me - when I do not understand what she tells me)
she is completely cold about all these things - being described.

Even when I had a cold a few months ago
where I could sneeze 3-5 times in a row,
she did not even look at me :biggrin2:

When she was a puppy she barked at everything,
kids, dogs, bikes, cars, buses, big trucks, runners and .. you name it.

Now she does not even notice all these things,
she can go very close to everything without a sound

I'd say the vacuum is really the only noise that gets mine going and it's only Dixie and Destin.......
but Destin can jump up from a nap and run to the kitchen barking- as far as I can tell- at nothing.......................
Both of mine run barking at nothing as well! They do hear more than us but really??? How bad can it be if I can't hear it lol.

Sometimes I think another dog can bring these things out. Piper used to be good...
Riley taught Finnie to bark when the phone rings or when I'd leave the house.
The more you have the more they bark lol!
