Sounds like a good thing she had it done. Pyometra is nothing to fool around with. Happy to hear she's already done. Yep the hard part will be keeping her quiet for 2 weeks - not looking forward to that with Juno....

I certainly am relieved Ann! I’m actually surprised but thankful I didn’t wait any longer. I’m also curious if she’ll be a happier dog now…I’m thinking could that distended fluid filled uterus have caused her any discomfort? She’s always been very sensitive along her belly and would frequently chew at her fur. She also is always quite nasty with the other two dogs. I’m thinking if that was me (a human female) perhaps it would make us crabby or sore all the time? If it makes her happier then that’s even better for her sake anyways!Good news that she's done and well! Now the real fun, keeping her quiet LOL. Good luck with that one! Phew, you dodged a bullet with pyo...that's one of those silent nightmares you don't know they have until it's critical. It's always been my worry with intact girls. You must be so relieved!

From what you are describing it does sound like her uterus problems were affecting her life and now they are gone and you are the hero because you made them go away.. just like when they are hungry we make that go away too.. sometimes we are heros- sometimes zeros. Sounds like a new chapter for Blueberry!!!!Well day 6 of her recovery and WOW…Blueberry is surprising me every day!
