Return to Trialing

I am so happy for you guys! Will be sending good thoughts your way over the weekend.

Have fun and enjoy the return with your girl. You guys worked really hard to get her back in shape and healthy to do what she loves. Good luck and I repeat... have fun! :smile2:

this is combined effort I learned from SG and ST
I've still to learn how to calculate dogs before me so sometimes I am too early but I aim to take my dog for 10 minute brisk walk/ not running/ which will end up about 10 dogs before us, light rubbing massage like when you towel the dog, then bunch of tricks, involved mostly with stretching large group of muscles like high hand touches, sit pretty, stand on hind legs tall, playbow, jump and catch, recall around the leg 360. If there is space I let person calling names know but am in hallway few feet away lots of jump up like you clap and dog jumps with 4 feet in the air, barking and jumping, more energetic like hand touch tall and move away while dog in the air- this is like within last dog or so.
I do compression massage mostly after the run.

Thank you...excellent info!!

Good Luck
We will be pulling for you, Haveing been down the same road with Storm with her grion injury I know where you are comming from, at least we have access to some great specialists for our little athletes now, with water TM and Laser therapy and other high tech and low tech stuff to help them through injuries with Phisio and stuff just like the big athletes have, Only a few years ago that wasn't the case.

Hope you have a great outing with Lexi.

Recap

Well, we are back and had a really nice weekend!

First, Lexi was totally healthy. I could not have been more pleased. We were sure to warm her up and cool her down before and after runs, and she was just fine. 6 months ago I wasn't sure if we would ever get to play again, and here we were doing what we both love!

Now, she was just teeeeeensy bit naughty. We were definitely out of sync, but there is plenty of time to fix that. She managed 2 Qs and I was so thrilled!:

Steeplechase
Masters Standard

Bentley was an absolute STAR! He went 7 for 8! He Qd in Masters Gamblers (a HUGE accomplishment), twice in Masters Standard (earning his Standard Agility Master), Steeplechase and Grand Prix (earning his Tournament Master), and Masters Jumpers. He is now only 2 Qs away from his ADCH. I can hardly believe how far we've come. A few videos below:
