Oh this is just wonderful news !!! You must be thrilled. I knew in my heart she would have a quick recovery with her being so young. You have taken such good care of her and it definitely takes time and patience. I'm sure the swimming just did wonders for her as well. I had the chills just reading all the good news about her. I hope all goes well at the vet and the Dr. gives the go ahead to let her get some exercise to strengthen her muscles even more.
Tell Sadie Gypsy and Chandler are very happy for her and proud of Ginny for being such a good sister. :biggrin2::winkgrin:

Great news, Melissa! I'll bet one of the factors that helped Sadie's recovery was being able to spend the entire week having fun with you. I hope the vacation was great, and that Sadie's recovery continues and she's fine from here on.

It's great to hear that Sadie has made so much progress. Your vigilence and hard work, along with a lot of prayers and good thoughts, have made a huge difference for this sweet girl.

Great News From The Vet!

Sadie had her vet appointment this morning.

The gist of the appointment is that Sadie has done MUCH better than we ever imagined she would, and given her amazing progress, my vet now thinks its possible that she might make a full recovery! Yay!

She said to keep up with the walking, avoid stairs where possible and keep her swimming if I can. I have a neighbor with a pool who I think might be willing to let me bring her in daily.

I'm so relieved I could just cry!

Oh this is just wonderful news. I am so happy for you. Wouldn't it be great if your neighbor let you use the pool for her. I'm sure she'll say yes. there's know way she could resist that cute little Sheltie Smile. Thanks for the update.

This has been both painful and a joy to read. Yesterday I saw all the pictures of Sadie from 6 weeks and then to read that she had been partially paralyzed just made me feel ill. It felt like it had happened to our Felix and he's only 12 weeks old.

I'm so glad and relieved to hear that she's doing well and the outlook for her is excellent! :smile2:
