I'm sorry to hear this, Karen. We've also dealt with liver value issues with some of our dogs. If there's anything I can do, or any information I can help with, say the word. Probably the most important thing I learned about when treating liver values: the best quality milk thistle for dogs you can find.

Karen, I am so sorry t o read the blood work results. Hopefully between medication and special diet Sandstorm will see better liver values.

Sandstorm tell your mom this is the milk thistle Misty's vet recommends, Denamarin. He says it's the best one you can get. This is Chewy but Amazon also has it. Misty would have written but she's busy chewing up a towel. She wants you to get better!

Poor baby! And poor mama for having to be stressed! Oberon and I have you both in our thoughts. Oberon says Sandstorm is second in his thoughts only to food.

Update from the Vet;
The xray and ultrasound will happen this friday, to rule out a mass in the liver. Also we'll probably go home with an antibiotic, enrofloxacin and/or biomax
The vet also lists 4 other potential meds depending on the radiographs and ultrasound, and denamarin is one of them. So we'll see, and the denamarin I can order anytime.

Hope so!! My husband is taking him, I have a volunteer job that day. I trust him to ask all the right questions. Meanwhile, husband is scrambling 5 eggs a day, lol.
