Our Mally looked very much like Shadow does as a puppy.

Next week our daughter is coming over and I will have her scan some pictures of Mally as a puppy, and post them, and you will see what I mean!

Hello Shadow

He's a sweety. My male had the same erect ears and I never successfully trained them so on has a soft tip down and the other is still up when he is alert. If that matters others may have advise for shaping them but I love my little guy regardless so I'm not worried about it. Shadow is adorable.

Thanks for the kind comments on Mr. Mally's puppy pictures. He still does the "head tilt" when you speak to him! These shelties understand so much.

Oh my goodness Mally is TOO adorable! (Just like my Shadow lol). He is more like my son than my pet. : ) I have been thinking of tipping his ears but I am very nervous about doing it properly.

Thank you all for your kind comments. He is quite a bit fluffier these days! I will post more pictures soon.

Shadow is adorable

Shadow is precious. I too was so confused when months past and my Sheltie didn't seem to be coming into the Sheltie look as seen everywhere. I wish now I had enjoyed the shorter hair and simply brushed him more often so he'd be more happy with that "be still time" with mommy now.

The pictures are him at 8 months, but you can see the face marking similarity to Shadow and those adorable ears. By 8 months you will start to see the next stage of puppy-hood. Now at one year and fully grown he still has those ears...big and bold...and honestly I like them the way they came!

I just joined, and I am Gimli's mom. I will add info when I have time, however, you reminded me of my wonderment of how the puppy would turn into a full coated super-dog.

This computer doesn't have earlier pics, but I will eventually share Gimli's first year. Before I close I will add a couple of more recent pics of him. The cat is one of my 2 two year old Ragdolls. This one is Samwise. He is not wise, but he makes up for it in pure sweetness. Frodo will eventually show up here, I am sure, as those two are Gimli's bff's.
