Schools days for Laddie soon

Congrat's on continuing the training! Yes, the next part is MUCH harder. There were many times all us owners were panting and grateful to sit a moment. Soon YOU get into the faster pace and the class really shows you some amazing stuff. There were times that we were all just grinning because we didn't know the dogs could do this or that. Keep it up! Keep telling us about it too.

I am now teaching Laddie to "bow" he can the other tricks fairly well, but the "bow" seems hard for him, have any of you taught it, and if so, how did you go about it?

Glad to hear that class is going better for you and Laddie. It is really cold here in WA.
I bet, I remember one year when we lived in Cle Elum, we had snow from the 2nd of November until the middle of March, Snoqualmie was closed a lot during that year. I still miss it however.

We did it!!!! Laddie now "bows" on command, only I use the word "pray" It is just too cute. I say "Pray Laddie" and down he goes on his front legs, he learned fast. Ken, our instructor at the dog school, said an easy way to train is when the dog does something, such as stretch, say the word "pray", well, I have been doing that, Laddie stretches a lot, plus helping him as well, now, it has paid off and he does it on command. I am soooo proud of him. He is really learning new things fast and loving it.:biggrin2:

Have you checked out the website - do more with your dog? I have gotten novice trick dog certificates for mine through them. Just something fun to do.

Well, out last day was yesterday, now, we won't go back until the first Tuesday in February, I will miss it. The instructor had us do a lot of difficult tasks, however, most did well as they were going to graduate, he did let Laddie and I try, we did OK, but, I imagine when we take the entire class, we will do better.

Now that I have more time at home to train him, I will work really hard so he is the head of the class.. He seems to enjoy the training, and it is really bonding us closer together as well.

Congrats Susie and Laddie! I always miss the time when class over for Sir Dash. He likes to go and so do I...he likes to learn new things. I suppose he will go to school as long as I can find a class for him.
