Senior sheltie had a stroke :-( Any recovery advice?

She still can't jump up on the furniture on her own, but I'm not sure if it's that she can't, or just scared and backs off. I put her on the footstool a few days ago and she tried to jump off immediately, so I really think it's more fear than ability.
Big update! This morning she jumped up on the footstool with me, no hesitation! No instability while sitting with me, either :-D

I'm honestly just waiting for the other shoe to drop. I'm truly amazed at how well she's recovered!

Tonight, we sat in the floor and played catch! Now THAT's a huge deal; a week ago she couldn't see and could barely walk. Tonight, she's jumping, running, and catching her favorite toy in her mouth! I have a hard time believing that the last 2 weeks were even real.

I would say that she's 99% of her usual self at this point. The only thing that isn't back to normal is that she's still not quite as energetic. But even that's minimal; like, we would usually play 20 rounds of catch, but tonight she stopped at 15. Other than that, she's running up and down stairs, jumping on furniture, all back to normal!

I know that feeling of relief, yet waiting for some other catastrophe. When Brooke suddenly collapsed one day our vet told us she was bleeding internally from hemangiosarcoma of the spleen. They gave her the Chinese herb Yunan Baio to attempt to stop it, and some oxygen. She did stabilize but was so out of it over night that we were sure we were losing her. We all slept in the living room with her right by the couch, my hand on her side. I must have finally fallen asleep early in the morning, and was woken by Brooke standing, shaking herself which rattled her collar tags, and looking at me like "Where's breakfast?" I burst into tears and thought "My God was yesterday just a nightmare?". We had her for another 4 months until the cancer couldn't be managed.

I'm so glad to hear Katy is doing incredibly well.

Hahaha, @Margi , I feel you! I'm 47, but I don't think I'll be running after a Frisbee anytime in the near future, either! And I definitely don't see me catching it in my mouth! LOL

She played catch a full 20 rounds tonight, though, so at this point I would say that she's 100% recovered. For the sake of posterity, today was 18 days from her stroke and subsequent seizures. I don't know if the recovery time was from the medicine, exercise and brain teasers, or a combination, but she's always been an amazing kid <3
