Shampoo

I use a furminator shampoo - love how it loosens the undercoat. It also makes the coat nice and soft and shiny. Reminds me - I have to shampoo the three.
 
I've done nicely with the Earthbath line for a long time. Usually the hypoallergenic one because my hands get pretty bad when I do marathon dog/cat wash days. They are sulfite free (or some of them are) and it has worked for me.
 
I second Earthbath. They have a tea tree oil shampoo that is great for itchy skin. I also like the puppy shampoo.. it smells like cherries. I also like Tropiclean. I usually use Tropiclean shampoo paired with Earthbath conditioner. Those are shampoos you can get at Petco and Petsmart. Both Tropiclean and Earthbath are natural shampoos and biodegradable. I could be wrong about Tropiclean though. I know my fancy natural dog food store sells Earthbath.

For the expensive, "can only buy online or a dog show" shampoos, I like Chris Christensen. I've only tried the black on black trial kit because Missy gets rusty in the sun, and it does wonders for her coat. I think I could just skip the black on black step and it would still be great. I also picked a product up at a dog show called Petsilk and I really like that. You can dilute it quite a bit to make it last a while. I've never had any problems with it, but I don't know how natural and biodegradable it is.

Is there anything in particular you are looking for? Do you have any requirements such as natural, biodegradable, etc? For the record, I would like to try Isle of Dogs. If they are at the dog show in a couple weeks, I will definitely pick some up. They weren't there last year :cry:.

Edit- I just wanted to say, I have a ridiculous shampoo/conditioner collection. I probably have enough to last Missy's lifetime. I keep buying different things to try. I have whitening stuff from when Missy's collar dyed her fur that I haven't touched since.

Chris Christensen White on White is excellent.

Not thrilled with the Burt's Bees line.
 
For every day, I use Buddy Wash Lavender and Mint. I found it when Pixie needed something with tea tree oil to treat itching and found it's terrific for all the dogs. Leaves coats great, soothes their skin and also contains conditioner. And they smell heavenly!

For shows I use the Chris Christensen Spectrum One line of shampoo, conditioner and coat treatments.
 
We've tried a couple of different brands (Avoderm, some perscription ones, and so on) and the one we've liked the most is Chris Christensen's Daily series. Just bought the trial set and it's lasted through several washes and still have a ton left. Makes our sad thin coated girl look like a "real" sheltie :lol:
 
I use Double K Groomer's Edge Emerald Black Shampoo on Angus (he is a bi-black sheltie). It also helps with the redness/brassiness those black coats develop. You dilute 32:1.

I use The Coat Handler Coat Conditioner after bathing, diluted 15:1. It is a leave in conditioner. Does not make them greasy at all, very easy to brush after bathing. Nice mild smell, I hate overwhelming scents and this one is not overwhelming or obnoxious.

And for in-between bathing protection of his coat from the sun and for bushing, I use the Ice on Ice Leave in Conditioner and Detangler from Chris Christensen.
 
Isle of Dogs is my favorite :) I also use it at my grooming salon. Seems to work great on everyone.
