Sheltie howl?

I do think it takes a little more effort for the little ones to get a howl out. Deska constantly howls, but when Tully tries to copy him she sounds like a wounded animal, woo oo ooo ra ra ra. I will have to tape her one day because its just hilarious. She only does it though when she thinks I'm not looking, i think she gets a little embarrassed. It took her a long time to learn to growl properly too - she used to go into the backyard and practice. Its still not a great growl, but i think with how little she is she just doesn't have the capacity for those low pitch sounds.

No howlers here (so far) but Brie does what I can only describe as huffing. If she hears something that might not be worth a full bark she does this funny huffing thing!

We have four shelties in our extended family and only Ginny howls. She howls approx. 5-10 minutes after being crated or if we don't take her out of her crate fast enough.

Sadie only ever howled once in her life, and she was REALLY frustrated. We've had Toby for almost a year and I've never heard him howl.

I caught Ginny on video howling once. I never get enough of watching it. She kills, me the way she throws her head back.

Sandstorm howls when I leave him in the crate and go out the front door, it is so funny I can't stop laughing.
Our family visits a non-profit wolf pack organization in Ipswich, Mass. about twice a year. They have howlings after each presentation. It is hysterical!

I LOVE that video, she is just so frigging CUTE! lol and it is EXACTLY what Toffee sounds like... plus, he watches like Ginny, after he stops howling as if to say, okay stopping now... see if she heard me!!?

Thanks :smile2:

She cracks us up. Her howling never gets her out of her crate any faster since we immediately stop what we're doing to laugh at her. I was so excited to get her howling on video.
