Sheltie obedience

You meanie and the metal dumbbell!

A Border Collie wouldn't have given ya that look ;) hahaahahahah If you wanted a serious dog with All Business ALL the time, we would have Border Collies ... whoever said something to that effect on here? it's my favourite quote! I would like to thank them, since I am stealing that line :)

That was me - its what I keep telling myself when Deska plays the clown:rolleyes2:.

Yep, there is definately a sheltie version of obedience. At least as sheltie owners we know the 'look' (even if we do give in half the time). At the local oval Tully has everyone twisted around her little paws, she just looks at them and they do exactly what she wants.

Ah yes the look. Everyone gets sucked in by it if your not used to it. Ember's favorite game is to stare at people's bait pouches during training class. She does the cutest little show stack and bats her eyes at them and 9 out of 10 of them give her something.:rolleyes2: These are experience dog people too but not sheltie people. Novices don't stand a chance.:smile2:

Yep. When Fergus was in obedience class he had all the insructors charmed. He'd drop into the quickest sit on record give them the "aren't I just the cutest thing" look and never failed to get a chuckle and his reward. Darn kids.

YES SUMAC, I feel the same thing!

lol also at the quickest sit and pose on record and the stare at the pouch...

Toffee does this at the dog park... People don't even notice him until they are trying to train their dogs and are all focused, telling their dogs to sit amongst the distractions etc.. Toffee goes and sits pretty as a picture besides their unruly dog, ready to give his paw! OR if people standing there with their hands in their pockets... another clear treat indicator, lol

OMG the pocket, noone can touch their pockets around my dogs. You know thats were treats are don't you.:wink2: People will ask "why are they staring at me like that". You just touched your pocket.

I know! I can't put my hands anywhere near my pockets now otherwise Deska starts drooling! And then there is the sound of unwrapping - no matter how quiet I try to be he has ultrasonic ears when it comes to unwrapping food packts.
