Hi!
My name's Kathleen - or Kathy - your choice - and my two cats and I - and much of our neighborhood - are directed by a beautiful, opinionated sheltie girl named Sage.
We have no sheeps.
So, one kitty ("Punk" - a male) is her very, very VERY best friend and for herding and playing chase AND catching! - and pretending to try to eat - which is, apparently, HUGE fun, for both of these two.
Sage's other kitty, "Chance" is strictly for herding, only - and just enough to flush him out (of wherever he has made the mistake of appearing)- although at every single possible opportunity, and not for pouncing on, knocking down and pretending to gleefully tear apart which, for some reason, this kitty does not seem to enjoy.
As for me, I get dragged frequently on walks, barked at to hang up the phone as soon as I even begin to think about wrapping up the conversation and anytime the cats are committing infractions of any kind in other rooms.
We're just beginning treadmill exercise to help work off some of Sage's energy as I am currently not able to walk/exercise her in other ways as often as she needs. I have lots of questions about that and don't know yet which forum, specifically to ask them in, if anyone could give me some guidance about that.
I'm also interested in collecting as many tricks and/or "chores" she can help me with around the house during our day, to keep her mind as stimulated as possible, also due to not being able to walk her as many times a day, or participate with her, currently, in Agility or other mentally stimulating activities, and she is, of course (being a Sheltie) smart as TWO whips.
Sorry this was so long-winded. I look forward to catching up in the archives and reading the discussions - and tips - on the forums.
