Yep....we have a bunny who cruises the family room and kitchen part of the house so cords and chewables are already out of chewing reach. We have a smaller crate ready with blanket for the baby days with a medium one ready for growth. Picked up some new dishes as our last dog was a lab and we don't want our new baby to have a swimming pool style dish :o
We have a baby gate from our granddaughter but need to pick up another one....and of course there are all the TOYS!!!
The biggest prep for us is trying to think of names....but it is fun
 
I agree i think the puppy will pick you, which ever one you pick will be wonderful. Your life will be an adventure. :) enjoy

We are going to visit again tomorrow! Puppies are now 2 weeks old. I have had the same puppy in my head since I first saw the newborn photos. It will be interesting to see if this changes as we begin to see more of their personalities developing. Our granddaughter is coming for the visit with us. I am sure she will want to take them ALL :smile2:

Keep an open mind. The puppy I liked the day he was born was not the one the came home with me. In fact, I think Birch was about 3 or 4 on the list until he was about 5 weeks old and then at 6 weeks old when his personality really came out he won me over. I wanted a bi blue and I took the only blue merle in the litter. Go figure.

Have fun with the visit and just enjoy watching them. I could watch puppies all day long.
 
Welcome to the group! My Sheltie is a young puppy also, and I was waiting for her before she was even born. I got pictures right away, and the received pictures every week so I got to watch her grow. But it also made me want to get her right away. :yes: It is awful to wait, I was counting down the days. Congradulations on your new pup.

I know! The waiting is so long :sleepy:
Fortunately we live just an hour from our breeder so are able to visit. Two more weeks and we'll need to make a decision. We have first choice...I don't know if that is a good thing or not :rolleyes2:
It really is fun to watch them grow and we feel so fortunate to have our breeder guide us through the choosing.

...well we don't have her at home yet as she is just coming up on 4 weeks. We did make our decision tonight.
I tried but I'm not quite sure how to post photos here (I'll figure it out I am sure). I do have an album started on my page.
Now...the tough decision....her name :rolleyes2:

Oh she is very cute. You will see her personality come out so much in the coming weeks and that should help you pick a fitting name.

Just out of curiosity what influenced your decision to make her the "one"?
 
Just joined in on the thread now but congrats on choosing your puppy! I saw the photos through your album, what a sweet looking little baby girl :D I too would love to hear how you chose her out of all the others!

PS. Have you all considered that perhaps you should have a BC meet up?? LOL Wow, I never realized how many of our members were from that side of Canada. A meet-up would sound very fun :D Just saying, wish I could come if there was hahaha :P
