We have FIVE dog beds in our family room, plus two open crates with beds in them. Littermates Barkley and Checkers, in true brother/sister fashion, both want this bed. This time, Checkers got there first and Barkley was not happy. When he couldn't get her to move, he got up and started digging in his end until she finally got disgusted and left. Sometimes they are just like children!

Oh, my. You gotta admit, it's entertaining. Ann, your house must be a riot with 5 Shelties, mostly girls!!!
In our house, Brooke's night time foam bed seems to be understood to be up for grabs during the day, for whoever gets there first. If Faith is in it and Brooke thinks it's her turn, she curls up next to it and hangs her head over the edge to the inside. I think this means, "Hint, hint". No matter that there's 3 other beds in the living room.

Wow - I just bought Hanna her 4th bed and she does not like this one either. She hasn't used a bed since she was a puppy much preferring the hardwood flooror the tile next to the air conditioning vent. I'm storing this one for when she gets old.
