yeah, he settled extra well. It only took a few hours and he knew he was living here! There is a lot of cleaning up but now we learned his pooping/peeing pattern (still going to be some accidents!) The only thing we are trying to do is get our cat to open up to him, sometimes she hunches her back when i try to take toby near, Tried a lot of methods. Carried the crate, held toby, used a leash, i am not concerned for the cat toby is very friendly, but i am concerned for the dog plus it stresses our cat out (she hunches her back and shows fangs sometimes, something i haven't seen in a while) But we did carry toby right over her head once and she didn't even move a muscle! Any suggestions? Our cat has her claws trimmed but my folks still think it's too dangerous to let em make first contact
How long have you had Toby now? I know that my cat hated Bentley when we first brought him home. It took about a week and now they're best friends. At first, I wouldn't force too much interaction. Just give treats to both if they get close so they know it's positive.
