Should my sheltie's hair be longer?

I think people are confused...from my understanding, the first picture is fakingreality's dog, Lukas. The second picture is a stock sheltie puppy photo which shows how much fuzzier that sheltie is than Lukas.

Could be wrong, but I think that's what OP meant.

Yeah, I got it after I posted and read the original post again.

yes, we are showing that our dogs around the same age are not as fuzzy as Fluffy, a puppy featured on Sheltie Nation and explaining that coat thickness and texture are different in different lines of shelties so that she won't worry that Lukas doesn't have a full sheltie coat yet :smile2:

Exactly

I think you'll be surprised at how much coat your pup will end up with. This is my Meggie at 15 weeks and currently.

Dont wish for a big coat - you never know what you might end up with!

This is Deska at 4mths and at 2 yrs. So I wouldn't worry too much!

Looking back on my photos Deska's coat started growing around 5mths and was starting to look nice by 6mths. He is 3yrs and I think his coat is still growing!

Plus remember when you see a lot of show shelties, or pics of shelties, they have been groomed and have show products in their fur to make them look fluffier.
