Sick little girl

I am so sorry, Penny. You did everything possible to save Scout and she certainly knew how much you loved her. She will be waiting for you at the Bridge. I wish you strength to get through this difficult time; peace and wonderful memories of your girl. Sending you lots of hugs.

Penny I an so sorry, I am crying and unfortunetly know your pain, but this was a shock, I know people say this all the time but she isn't hurting anymore, but you are. We are all here for you and sending prayers to you and hopefully ease you pain.

Well said, my sentiments are the same. Penny, we are here for you!! May Scout rest in peace and no longer be in pain. She is frolicking at the Rainbow Bridge and watching over you and your family :hugs

I am so sorry about your baby...
I know we are were all hoping Scout was getting better.

I know I will hug my guy a little tighter tonite and think of Scout.

Dear St. Francis,
Today, Scout slipped away from earth and made her way to you at Rainbow Bridge. We know when she stepped across that wisp of time that separates us from those who have gone on, you were there. You watched with loving eyes as she sniffed the heavenly air, looking round at the beauty of the beyond. You smiled as she took her first tentative steps across the fresh spring grass, stopping at your feet to look into your eyes. You reached down and softly stroked her head, bidding her to rest, run, drink the crystal water and romp with the other beloveds in the pasture. We know you told her it would seem but the twinkling of an eye before she beheld her Mom, Penny, walking toward her once more. Time is the friend of all at Rainbow Bridge.

And so once more, please bid the Good Shepherd to send comfort and strength to Penny as she grieves the loss of her best friend, sweet Scout, who fought a most gallant battle.
In His name we ask,
Amen

Penny, I'm so sorry for your loss. (I've been out of town and only caught up on this thread today).

It is hard to fine comforting words for you in your time of loss, but i'll try

First of Scout is still with you....she will be ever in your heart. Just hold her memories close and she'll be right there beside you

Second, you'll be questioning whether or not to get another dog or not - and if so, another Sheltie? Would that feel like "replacing" Scout? Certainly not. Scout cannot be replaced, ever. But perhaps sometime, you might be able to find room in your heart. That's ok. Scout will understand.

Third....and this is where I get a little w. eird on you....I believe strongly that things happens for reasons. That life throw curves at us but also sends blessings as well. It is how we deal with this challenges and opportunities that define us.

My personal example is this: My 19 year old daughter committed suicide just over 4 years ago. It was unexpected, and to this day, I don't think she had planned this at all. Yet suddenly she is gone from us. 6 weeks later my Sheltie, Timber, also died suddenly. I was devastated by the two losses. And then my wise, younger sister told me this: That Michelle was feeling lonely and called up Timber to keep her company until the rest of us could join her. I still cry when I think of this, but it is such a comfort to think that the two of them are together.

And I guess that it why I didn't feel guilty bringing home Bacca 2 months after Timbers's death and 4 months after Michelles.

Take heart....it gets better everyday!

Penny I am so sorry, I am just in tears here. It is so hard to lose our babies but even harder when they are so young. Scout was 5 just like my little Gypsy who passed in April. Prayers to you and sweet little Scout.

Beautiful words as always, Chris

I too am shedding tears. Words just aren't enough at this time. This brings back painful memories about our Shelby and how we felt at his sudden passing. Sometimes life just doesn't seem fair. I hope your other furkids can give you comfort at this time. Keep strong and take care.

Janet, Meadow and Reno's mom
